This letter is a response from the Aboriginal Relations Minister, Len Webber, to the Grand Chiefs of Alberta to a meeting that occurred under the Protocol Agreement of Government-to-Government Relations. Assembly of Treaty Chiefs Resolution on the Assembly of Treaty Chiefs of Alberta Position Paper on Consultation – August 25, 2010

This Resolution speaks to the Assembly of Treaty Chiefs supporting, in principle, the Assembly of Treaty Chiefs of Alberta Position Paper on Consultation. As well, they collectively resolve steps that the Government of Alberta must take as it advances in engagement with First Nations in Alberta. Finally, they resolve to move towards a more formal endorsement of the Assembly of Treaty Chiefs of Alberta Position Paper on Consultation.
